The forest that stretches through so called iron county on the edge of Mishkiiziibii (Bad River Reservation) and near the southern shore of Gitchigami (Lake Superior) is home to some of the largest giizhik (cedar) ive ever seen. The forest floor there is damp and rolled over with moss and leaves and fallen trees. Mossy holes and roots reaching around stones, giizhik (cedar), mitigominzh (oak), ookwemin (cherry), and aninaatig (maple). This is also the site of Enbridges proposed line 5 reroute. A small group of us recently walked the eastern half of the proposed easement. With anger, sadness, and love in our hearts we spiked dozens of the trees who make up this forest. We did this because we want to stop Enbridge. We did it because we hate them and all that they come from. We did it because we hate the world that they build. We did it because we could. The forest held us and hid us and Enbridge could do nothing about it. We walked all over their easement and we’ll be back.

Attack back on Uhaul and Budget

Three UHaul and Budget trucks were vandalized this weekend in response to their role in the South Shore invasion this past week.

Federal agents violently attacked a residential building in the middle of the night using the full force of their military equipment including flashbang grenades and Blackhawk helicopters. Reports estimate about 300 pigs from multiple federal agencies took part. Residents described doors kicked in and apartments ransacked as families were dragged out into the night and kidnapped, stolen from their homes to be handcuffed and trapped in unmarked vans. One resident described the attack as a “siege” and multiple witnesses feared the traumatic impact this would have on the children living in the building and attending the nearby school. Photo documentation shows federal agents conducted the siege using Budget and Uhaul trucks, which is a direct violation of their terms of service, in addition to being morally reprehensible.

We call on other friends in the city to join us as we justly retaliate against Budget and UHaul for being complicit in fascist attacks against our neighbors. It doesn’t take much: it’s easy to spot the trucks as you take a walk or a bike ride around your neighborhood, especially near the end of the month when folks are moving. If you go when the sun’s up, it’ll be easier to identify what vulnerability on the truck you want to attack (glass, exhaust pipe, gas tank, tires, etc.), and easier to scout for any potential surveillance risks. Once you’ve found a few targets, come back after the sun’s gone down and let ‘er rip!

To Budget and UHaul: the damage done to your trucks is nowhere near what’s deserved for your role in this shameful and disgusting act. We will not stop until you sever your ties with these fascist pigs! If you attack our city, we will attack back!

ICE Vehicle Tires Slashed at Hotel

On the half moon tires were cut on 3 suspected ICE vehicles (including 2 vans) at a hotel where ICE is staying. Multiple other vehicles and the parking area were spray painted to tell the hotel & its guests that they can not make deals with ICE. Fuck the Hilton for hosting fascist kidnappers.

Together we can make hell for ICE and their collaborators. Find their weak spots and imagine the possibilities! Any Hilton, Marriot, Hampton (and more) can be a target– even if ICE isnt sleeping at that location, no bussiness should be colluding with ICE.

WHAT IS FLOCK?

Flock Safety is a mass surveillance start up based in Atlanta, Georgia that promises law enforcement and private business AI surveillance, license plate reading (LPR) technology, and real time alerts. Founded in 2017, the company now claims presence in 4,000 cities across 42 states. Flock LPRs compile unique identifying car information – License Plate, Make and Model, Color, Unique Alterations, and Frequency of Visits – then stores this data for 30 days. LPRs are leased to police, businesses, property managers or Home Owner Associations; these clients receive up to date hardware, maintenance and custom applications such as Hot List Alerts which allow them to track any vehicle(s) they desire in real-time. Flock boasts about its ability to identify a “vehicle fingerprint” which it claims includes color, make, model, bumper stickers, roof or bike racks, after market wheels, major scratches or dents, etc.

Standard Flock cameras cover 1.5 lanes of one-directional traffic up to a distance of 75 feet. They use a 16mm 1/2” lens with an IR filter, meaning the field of view is quite large but low-resolution. For night surveillance, they are outfitted with 6 LEDs that flash infrared light into the field of view. They use solar panels for power and an LTE modem for sending and receiving data.

On Anishinaabaewaki in so-called Traverse City, Michigan 6 Flock cameras got the crap smashed out of them as vengeance for Flock’s massive contribution to the security state. Quick tips for mapping them in your town: Street-facing Flock cameras always look the same – a roadside black camera body with a solar panel attached above it. If you see one in your town there are absolutely more. They most often come in pairs with each facing different directions on the same road. They are found mainly at choke-points and main thoroughfares in cities. Shout-out to the TC3. It’s smash Flock fall, baby. See ya out there.

A militarily designated strategic rail network (STRACNET) rail line crosses the west end of the island on which the arsenal sits, connecting it to other JMC facilities and the wider strategic rail network at large. Chicago, Illinois — A Bank of America branch was locked and windows wheatepasted with flyers containing links to the bank’s abhorrent acts of cruelty. People are calling on BOA to drop its funding of the Mountain Valley Pipeline, a 303-mile pipeline described as “a scar across Appalachia.” The MVP will supply fuel to the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. RAAP is operated by BAE systems, which supplies the Israeli government with weapons used to murder Palestinians. BOA also funds Cop City, the 85-acre militarized police training compound that the Atlanta Police Foundation is attempting to build in Atlanta, GA. have you heard of MTU? it’s a subsidiary of Rolls Royce, based in Germany (but also operate in turtle island). a quick review of the MTU Solutions website will reveal they manufacture diesel engines for many unfavorable purposes: oil/gas extraction, mining vehicles, yachts, and perhaps most notably– military use.

MTU engines power 80% of the Israeli naval boats, as well as their Merkava tanks and armored personnel carriers. additionally, Rolls Royce components make possible the F-35 warplanes that carry out the genocidal airstrikes on Gaza.

“what better way to remember Tort than to leave caltrops and wall/window messages for a MTU engine technician training center?”, we thought.
